INFANTILE MORTALITY.
The deaths of 124 children under the age of twelve months were
allocated to Hackney by the Registrar-General during 1937. This
number of deaths gives an infantile mortality rate of 43.4 per
1,000 live births, which is the lowest rate ever recorded in
the Borough.

The following is a table of the infantile deaths and death rates in England and Wales, London and Hackney in 1937, together with the infantile death rates in five-year periods.
