Home Helps.—Fifty-seven applications were received during
1936 for the assistance of a "home help" under the Maternity and
Child Welfare Scheme. This is a marked increase in the use of this
facility. The previous year only 2 applications were received.
Nursing Assistance.—A description of the scheme in operation
in the Borough for professional nursing in the homes of sick persons
is set out on page 33 of this Report.
