Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Acts, 1920-1933.—
The number of certificates granted under the Rent and Mortgage
Interest (Restrictions) Acts during the year was six. In two cases
the work specified in the certificates was carried out, in three
the work was in hand at the end of the year, and in the remaining
case the premises were demolished.
Housing (Consolidated) Regulations, 1925 and 1932.
House-to-House Inspection.—The number of houses inspected
and recorded under these Regulations during the year was 1,492,
and in 551 instances nuisances were discovered requiring the service
of notices under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891.
Dangerous Structures.
Complaints of alleged dangerous structures at 366 premises
were forwarded to the London County Council during the year.
Rag Flock Acts, 1911 and 1928.
There is only one factory in the Borough where rag flock is
manufactured. Twelve inspections were made during the year.
It was necessary to serve notices in respect of an accumulation of
refuse and a leaky cleansing tank.
Three samples of flock in course of manufacture were taken
from this factory during the year, and upon examination proved to
be satisfactory.
