For the provision of several combined stools and tables, at which the
Babies are fed, we are much indebted to the Members of the Hackney Industrial
and Recreational Centres for Unemployed Men, who made these items of
furniture in their own time and thus contributed much to the amenities of the
Nursery.
To all who study the financial statement which is published in this Report,
it will be obvious that the position of our Honorary Auditors is no sinecure,
and we are specially grateful to Messrs. Button, Stevens & Witty for the time
and labour which they have devoted to the care and supervision of our accounts.
I will conclude by expressing the hope that the good work which has been
so satisfactorily commenced may long continue to operate for the benefit of the
children whose Mothers have perforce to go out and earn their living.
C. FISHER YATES,
Chairman.
