Amongst the workshops in which wearing apparel is manufactured,
there were 170 in which females alone, and 182 in which both
males and females were employed.
In workshops of other occupations, there were 49 in which
females alone, and 70 in which both males and females were employed.
Of the domestic workshops, females alone were employed in 16,
and both males and females in 9.
During the year notices and complaints were received from H.M,
Inspectors of Factories, as follows:—
