Some of the provisions of the new bye-laws as regards
structural alterations will not come into force until six months after
the Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Acts, 1920 and
1923, or any re-enactment thereof, with or without modifications,
relating to dwelling houses shall have ceased to be in force.
(e) Articles of Food Seized or Surrendered as Unfit for Food.
—During the year the following articles of food were seized by
the Inspectors, or surrendered to them as being unfit for food, viz.,
Fish 1 ton 11 cwt. 1 qr.; Meat 1 ton 14cwt. 3 qrs. 8 lbs.; Fruit
2 tons 16 cwts. 7 lbs. ; Tinned Foods 3 tons 18 cwts. 18 lbs.
House-to-House Inspection.
The following roads have been inspected during the year :—
Ballance Road, Bartrip Street (part), Chapman Road, Clifden
Road (108-126), Felstead Street, Florfield Road, Helmsley Place,
Hockley Street, King Edward Road, Maclaren Street, Prince
Edward Road, Ribstone Street, Rushmore Road (16-48), Selman
Street, Wick Road (393-433), Woolpack Place.
