other person, liable to a penalty, or subjects the person to
any restriction, prohibition or disability affecting himself, or
his employment, occupation or means of livelihood, on the
ground of his suffering from Tuberculosis.'
The attention of the Ministry of Health was drawn to this
danger, and a Draft, dated October 17th, 1924, of the Public
Health (Prevention of Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1924, giving
additional powers to local authorities in this direction is receiving
the consideration of the Ministry of Health.
Local authorities still require powers as regards
Contamination of food during preparation for sale,
Addition of preservatives,
Adulteration, safely carried out owing to the absence of
recognized standards.
