Housing and Town Planning Regulations.
A systematic inspection is being made and an accurate card
indexed record compiled of the housing conditions of the
Borough. The number of houses inspected under these regulations
during the year was 1,709.

Factory and Workshop Act, 1901.

Factories.—During the year, 181 inspections were made of factories and 2,469 of workshops by the officers of the Public Health Department. In 138 of these premises the sanitary accommodation was defective, unsuitable or insufficient, or not separate for the sexes.
