I obtain the corrected general death-rate of 14-6 per 1,000 of the
population.
Infant Mortality.—The deaths under one year of age in the
Borough during 1917, numbered 345. This is a decrease of 78 upon
the number of infant deaths recorded during 1916. The infant
mortality for the year is 92 per 1,000 births.
