age, and 422 under 5 years (including of course those under
1 year), the average for the 10 years having been 241 under 1
year, 165 between 1 and 5 years, making a total of 406 under
5 years. The excessive number of deaths from measles, viz. 168,
of which 155 occurred under 5 years, fully account for the
increase this year.
