show the necessity for the house to house visitations. The
injury to health and morals which must occur where overcrowding
to this extent takes place is self-evident, and need not be insisted
upon, and it is therefore only necessary to add that the overcrowding
was in all these cases quickly remedied,—in most
instances by the parents taking another room.
In conclusion, I have to state that the inspectors have all
carried out their duties to my entire satisfaction.
