REPORT
FOR THE YEAR 1864.
To the Board of Works for the Hackney District.
Gentlemen,
I have during this year, in company with
Mr. Valentine, inspected a very large number of houses within
your District, and in accordance with the rule adopted of late,
I append a list of the localities and of the number of houses
inspected. Many of these inspections were made in consequence
of an outbreak of epidemic diseases, others in the course of my
inspections of the poorer localities, and the rest in consequence
of complaints received.
