Board of Works for the Limehouse District.
Sanitary Department.
To Dr. G. A. Rogers,
Medical Officer of Health.
Sir,
We herewith submit our tabulated statement showing the
amount of work performed by us during the past year, the
details of which come under your notice and supervision.
Although an increase in the general work of the District
has occurred we have been able to give attention to the inspection
of Houses let in Lodgings, and to Workshops.
Diligent attention has been given throughout the year to the
Meat, Fish, Fruit, and Vegetables exposed for sale in the shops
and thoroughfares in the District.
The cases of Infectious Disease have had our immediate
attention. They have caused us considerable anxiety, which
necessitated our constant vigilance day and night and frequently
on Sundays.
We are,
Yours obediently,
JOHN WILLIAM JOHNSON,
GEORGE OSBORNE PAVITT,
EDWIN THOMAS CROOK.
