Cowhouses and Slaughterhouses.
We have at the present time 20 cowhouses and 10 slaughterhouses
which are licensed by the London County Council
annually. It is most unlikely that any fresh licenses will be
granted for either of these purposes in crowded districts like
our own. At the last Licensing Session, where it was shewn
that the buildings were not being used at the time the application
for renewal was made, the Council in many cases refused
