REPORT OP THE MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH
FOR 1890.
To the Board of Works for the Lee District.
Gentlemen,
1. I beg to present my Annual Report (16th) on the sanitary
condition of the Parish of Charlton, for the year ending December
31st, 1896.
2. The Census taken in 1891 gave the number of inhabitants
as 12,122. The figures on which this report is founded are
13,753, so that the increase may be taken as 1,631 (and probably
this is under estimated), and the number of houses built and
inhabited has been very great as will be shown later.
