General. After due corrections for non-residents and the
inclusion of residents dying outside the district, the net total
of deaths of residents is 126—51 males, and 75 females.
A tabular statement is appended showing the cause of
death, together with the age periods at death, also a table
showing the distribution of these deaths between males and
females.
The Death rate is 11 -54 per thousand.
The rate for England and Wales is 12.2 per thousand.
The rate for London is 11.7 per thousand.
INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Twelve deaths of infants under one year of age were
recorded; this is equal to a rate of 81.08 per thousand births.
The two previous years the rates were 1924, 40.5; and
1923, 19.5 per thousand births.
The infantile mortality rate for England and Wales is
75 per thousand births. The two previous years the rates
were—1924, 75, and 1923, 69 per thousand births.
The rate for London last year was 67 per thousand
births.
The amount of Poor Law relief paid out in the district
of Hampton during the year 1925 was £639 11s. 6d. This
of course does not include persons who are sent to the
Poor Law Infirmary.
During these five years ending December 31st, 1925,
there have been no illnesses which need any special
comment.
