To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the Borough of
Southwark.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit to you my report on the Health
and Sanitary Condition of the Parish of St. Mary, Newington, for the
year 1900.
In doing so I beg to thank the Council for the honour of being
appointed Medical Officer for the new Borough of Southwark. I trust I
may be allowed to express my appreciation of the courtesy and consideration
always shewn to me in the carrying out of my duties by the Vestry
of Newington, the members of which I have now known for so many
years.
I have also to thank the various officers of the Public Health Staff
for the able assistance they have rendered me in connection with Health
work.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
GEORGE MILLSON,
Medical Officer of Health.
