Board of Works for the Limehouse District,
Public Health Department.
To Dr. D. L. Thomas,
Medical Officer of Health,
and Public Analyst.
Sir,
We have much pleasure in submitting our tabulated
Statement showing the amount of work performed by us duriug
the past year, the details of which came under your notice and
supervision.
Diligent attention has been given throughout the year to
the Meat, Fruit and Vegetables exposed for sale, or in course
of preparation for sale.
The cases of Infectious Disease have had our immediate
attention, occasionally calling us out at night, and frequently
on Sundays.
It is with great pleasure we take this opportunity of congratulating
you upon your appointment as Medical Officer of
Health to the Metropolitan Borough of Stepney. Having
worked under your guidance since 1897, we know by experience
that under your supervision the Public Health Department is
advised by a most reliable and efficient officer.
Trusting you will long be spared to be the Head of the
Public Health Department.
We are,
Yours obediently,
JOHN WILLIAM JOHNSON,
GEORGE OSBORNE PAVITT,
EDWIN THOMAS CROOK.
