SECTION VI - PUBLIC HEALTH (SHIPS) REGULATIONS 1970
1. List of Infected Areas (Regulation 6) - Arrangements for the preparation and amendments of
the list, the form of list, the persons to whom it is supplied and the procedure for supplying it to
those persons.
This Regulation is complied with in such a way that Pilots, Customs Officers and Ships'
Masters may be in no doubt as to their duties. The general areas in which quarantinable diseases
may be found are set out in the Directions and Requirements printed with the International Maritime
Declaration of Health. Any variation in these areas is notified immediately by telephone and
confirming letter to Trinity House and the Collector of H.M. Customs & Excise.
