No Canal Boats were encountered within the district of the
Port of London by your Inspectors during the year.
No new boats were registered during the year under review,
the actual number of Canal Boats on the Register on the 31st
December, 1947, being 216.
PARROTS (PROHIBITION OF IMPORT) REGULATIONS.1930.
Fifty-five parrots etc.,came under the notice of your
Officers during the year. Thirty-five Notices were issued in
respect of 48 parrots etc. One parrot died on board and the
body was sent to the Ministry of Health for examination.

Number admitted under Ministry of Health permit 12
Total 54.
