The sample was found to contain tin compounds equivalent to 1/6 of a grain of tin per pound. The paint on the outside of the can was free from lead, but contained zinc.Consignment released.
May 5SausageOn stripping the skin from the sample, the nodules proved to be fat squeezed out of the meat. A microscopical examination of the inner surface of the skin revealed, except for the presence of numerous bacteria, nothing unusual. Preservatives and other deleterious ingredients were not detected.
