Cancellation of Registration.
Inasmuch as many of the boats registered by the Port of London Sanitary
Authority had not come under notice of the Authority's Inspectors for a considerable
time, enquiries were sent to the various registered owners as to the present condition
and whereabouts of the boats. Definite information was received that 96 boats had
been broken up, and the registration of such boats was accordingly cancelled by
order of the Port of London Sanitary Committee.
On 31st December, 1931, there were 235 boats on the Register :—
Propelled by Tugs and Oars 213
„ „ Steam 15
„ „ Motors 7
Nine new boats were registered during 1931.
