RIVER.
The whole of this area is divided into three districts, known as the Upper,
Middle and Lower ; each district is in charge of an Inspector, as follows :—
Upper District ... Teddington to Greenwich Inspector Johnson, £210 per annum.
Middle District ... Greenwich to Erith Ditto, ditto.
Lower District ... Erith to seaward limits of the Port of )

The Docks are divided into four districts, known as the Central, Eastern, Western and the Gravesend District;—

The total number of inspections for the year was 147, representing a nett number
of 91 boats. The remainder—56—represents repeated visits by Inspectors of this
Authority.
The number of boats not conforming to the Acts and Regulations was 39
(inspected on 43 occasions), or 29-24 of the total inspections, the percentage for the
previous five vears being 37-16 per cent.
