A careful examination was made of a percentage of pig carcases arriving in the
district, the number of carcases examined being 2,260. Two carcases were found to
be diseased.
Actinomycosis in Ox Tongues.—A percentage examination was made of every consignment of ox tongues arriving in the district. 328 consignments were put into Dock Store, where a careful examination was made of some 50,946 tongues by your officers ; 468 tongues were found to be affected with Actinomycosis.
