DENGUE FEVER.
The ss. "Kaisar-I-Hind" arrived from Bombay on the 2nd October, 1925.
Illness reported by the Master:—30 cases Dengue. Cases of fever began to
occur among the native crew (Europeans not affected), immediately after leaving
Bombay. The symptoms were—sudden onset, malaise, shivering, sweating,
pyrexia, temperature about 103°—no rash. Pyrexia lasted up to five days, and
patients all recovered and resumed duty.
