ENTERIC FEVER.
H.M. Transport " * * " arrived at Gravesend from Alexandria on February 27th.
Thirteen members of the crew were declared to be ill. In most of these cases the
diagnosis of Enteric Fever had been made ; all were removed to Denton Hospital.
The epidemic was mild in character. Many of the men affected had worked
through the earlier stage of their illness. Ten still had fever on admission ; three were
convalescent ; of the three the diagnosis in one case was still doubtful.
