Although these Lighters are owned by various persons, they are all on hire to
one person.
Written intimations were issued in each case.
OFFICES.
An additional fireproof safe was obtained in November for the accommodation of
the principal official books, the number and size of these having considerably increased
in late years with the expansion of business and staff.
STAFF.
Office.—James Arthur Gillis was appointed as Junior Clerk, in the place of
James George Godden, resigned.
Inspectors.—William J. Berry was appointed as a Sanitary Inspector, and in
June was promoted to be a Third Class Inspector, having obtained by examination the
Certificate of the Royal Sanitary Institute as a Sanitary Inspector.
Hospital.—Mr. and Mrs. Stone were appointed as Caretakers, in the place of
Mr. and Mrs. Wragg. They resigned their position, which was filled by Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis.
