give below a list of Wharves between Nine Elms and Deptford Creek on the
south side of the Eiver, and from Blackfriars Bridge to North Greenwich
Eailway Station on the north side of the River. There are probably many
similar Wharves lying without the limits covered by this Return, but probably
these will be sufficient to give some idea of the extra work which would
require to be done were these Wharves to be placed under the jurisdiction of
the Port Sanitary Authority. This Return, by direction of your Worshipful
Committee, was furnished to the Local Government Board.
