BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATION OF MILK

One hundred and two samples of milk were submitted for examination. The results of the tests are set out below:

Six samples of Tuberculin Tested milk were submitted for biological
examination - Tubercle bacilli were not isolated.
CHEMICAL ANALYSES OF MILK
Twenty-four samples of milk were submitted to the Public Analyst.
All were reported genuine.
The average composition was as follows:
Fat % 3.85
Solids-not-fat % 8.70
Total Solids % 12.55
The samples included six of Channel Island Milk.
The average composition of these samples was as follows:
Fat % 4.4
Solids-not-fat % 8.95
Total Solids % 13.35
