There were 38 new cases notified during the year, this being an
increase of 2 on the number of cases notified in 1951.

It will be seen from the foregoing table that 7 Tuberculous patients
died during the year, this being an increase of one on the corresponding
figure for the previous year. The figures correspond to a
death rate per 1,000 of population of 0.22.
