Tuberculosis
There were 34 new cases notified during the year, this being a slight
general reduction on the number of cases notified in 1949. Actually,
there was an increase in the number of males notified, from 20 to 29.

It will be seen from the foregoing table that 10 Tuberculous patients
died during the year. The figures correspond to a death rate per 1,000
of population of 0.30.
