of sputa from cases, or suspected cases, and during the year 6 such
examinations were made.
Treatment for cases of Tuberculosis is under the control of the
Surrey County Council, who provide both sanatorium and dispensary
treatment.
The Tuberculosis After-Care Committee continued its good work
during 1946.
Mass radiography is undertaken at St. Helier County Hospital,
and up to date many school children in the Borough have been submitted
for examinaton. In the near future it is to be hoped that
considerable sections of the population, particularly in industry and
public services, will have an opportunity of being examined.
