The new cases were distributed amongst the Wards as follows: —

Arrangements have been made by the Council for the examination
of sputa from cases, or suspected cases, and during the year 27 such
examinations were made.
Treatment for cases of Tuberculosis is under the control of the
Surrey County Council, who provide both sanatorium and dispensary
treatment.
The Tuberculosis After-Care Committee continued its good work
during 1943.
The system of mass radiography referred to in last year's report
will be in use in the early future at St. Helier Hospital, as soon as
the necessary apparatus has been installed.
