CHILD LIFE PROTECTION.
The Health Visitors are the authorised Child Life Protection
Visitors lor the Borough.

During the year 122 visits were paid to the homes of the children.
No proceedings were taken under the Act during the year.
WAR-TIME DAY NURSERY.
When first opened in April the Nursery was intended to cater for
40 children, but it proved so popular that within three months it was
upgraded by the Minister of Health to a 50-place Nursery. Situated
at Spencer Toad, Hackbridge, the pre-fabricated building was specially
designed for the purpose and the children are excellently cared for
in light, airy surroundings.
