INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD.
MILK.
Graded Milk. The sample of Tuberculin Tested milk examined
was found up to standard, satisfying the prescribed methylene blue
reduction test.
Of the 65 cases of Pasteurised milk examined, only one exceeded
the 100,000 bacteria per millilitre allowed by the Milk (Special
Designations) Regulations.
All the milks sold as Pasteurised were examined for phosphatase,
to ascertain the efficiency or otherwise of Pasteurisation, all the
samples so examined being satisfactory.

During the year the following number of samples of milk was taken within the district and examined bacteriologically in the laboratory of the Corporation's Public Health Department:—
