VIOLENCE.
One death, a male, was recorded from Suicide. There were 12
deaths from other forms of violence, of these 8 were males and 4
females.
Two deaths of Wallington residents due to road accidents
occurring within the Borough took place in 1939. Five deaths of
Wallington residents occurred in roads outside the Borough.
Whilst appreciating that the problem of road accidents is one of
national importance, as a Borough we must make every effort to ensure
safety on our own roads and thus contribute our share towards
National Safety.
