MISCELLANEOUS.
EXAMINATION OF EMPLOYEES.
Since 1st April, 1937, the Medical Officer of Health has undertaken
the examination of all new staff for admission to the Council's Superannuation
Scheme. Seven candidates were examined and all were
found suitable to enter the scheme.
PROPAGANDA.
Public health propaganda engaged the attention of the Council
during the latter part of the year, the Council co-operating to the full
in the Surrey County Council's Health Campaign.
This campaign, organised and conducted by the Central Council
for Health Education, is being run in conjunction with the National
Health Campaign inaugurated by the Prime Minister in his broadcast
address on September 30th.
The object of the campaign is to stimulate the nation to a more
vigorous health consciousness and to obtain a wider use of the health
services provided by local authorities.
So far the meetings held have been very well attended and up to
date the campaign in Wallington has been an unqualified success.
