population.
Deaths. The Registrar-General gives the number of deaths registered
as 306, of which 150 were males and 156 were females.
Taking the estimated population figure of 30,590, the crude death
rate for 1937 is 10.0 per thousand, compared with 9.9 for 1936. The
corresponding figures for England and Wales for 1937 and 1936 are 12.4
and 12.1 respectively.
The corrected death rate, i.e., the rate which would be arrived at
if the age and sex constitution of the population of Beddington and
Wallington was in the same proportion as the country as a whole, is
9.8.
The Registrar-General's comparability factor for the adjustment
of the death rate of Beddington and Wallington is 0.98.

table the birth rate, general death rate, and the death rate for certain
specified causes for the country as a whole, and for certain groups of
