Water Supply.
The District has a constant supply of water provided
by the Sutton Water Company, but there still remain a
few premises where private wells are still in use.
During the year I have examined 184 samples of water
for the determination of the hardness.
Closet Accommodation.
Practically the whole of the District is on the water
carriage system, the closets being connected to the main
drainage system.
In parts of the District where no sewer is available,
closet accommodation is provided by means of earth closets
with removable receptacles, or by drainage to cesspools.
The approximate number of these is:—Earth closets, 26;
cesspools, 8.
