Mumps.
Beddington Church of England School.—14th January to

HOUSING, &c.
A certain amount of overcrowding still exists in the
District, and the Council is endeavouring to remedy this
trouble.
The existing scheme of the Council provides for the
erection of some 88 houses, 24 of which were completed
and occupied by the end of the year. The erection of the
remainder is proceeding.
The chief cause of overcrowding appears to be due to
sub-letting, owing to the tenants being unable to pay
existing rents.
