Tuberculosis.—The Deaths from Pulmonary Tuberculosis
(Phthisis or Consumption of the Lungs) numbered 8.
This is equal to a Death Rate of 0.47 per thousand of population,
as against 0.78 last year.
Cancer.—The deaths from Cancer numbered 36. This
gives a Death Rate of 2.15 per thousand of population, as
against 1.38 last year.
