*The Whitechapel Guardians have, at considerable cost, by the addition of new
buildings at South Grove, provided for the care of aged and infirm cases not requiring
active treatment. Special arrangements for Medical attendance are in operation, so
that the pressure upon the Infirmary has been relieved with advantage to the occupants
of both buildings,
