INQUESTS.
During the year the causes of death in 328 cases were
investigated in the district by the Coroners. Of these 190 were
cases where the deceased belonged to Whitechapel. In connection
with this subject the district may be congratulated upon the near
approach of the commencement of a building wherein the dead
may remain pending interment and where the Coroner may hold
