The deaths from Fever in the Fever Hospital belonging to the Asylum Board of patients
removed from this District were 9, and 2 died of scarlet fever, thereby increasing the deaths
from epidemic diseases by 11; but, on the other hand, the deaths from fever of non-residents
which occurred in the London Hospital, must be deducted ; of these, however, I do not receive
returns. The deaths, therefore, from epidemic diseases in this District were 384 for the
year 1874.
Note.—Four deaths from small-pox have been registered, but two of such deaths ought to
have been registered as chicken-pox.
