As regards the building of a hospital for contagious diseases, the expense
would be most materially diminished, if two or three Districts were to combine
and agree upon the suitable place for such purpose.
To enable the public to derive the utmost possible benefit from the carrying
into effect of the sanitary provisions of the several Acts relating to health,
London must be treated as one District, so that a uniform mode of proceeding
may bo adopted in every District, as regards the lighting, paving, and
cleansing of the streets, the inspection of the houses, and other sanitary
work, and the keeping of a uniform system of accounts.
