* 1. The Artillery District comprises the Liberty of Norton Folgate, the Old Artillery Ground, and that portion of Spitalfields Parish eastward of the centres
of Bell Lane, Crispin Street, and Wheeler Street. Population in 1851, 6769.
2. The Spitalfields District comprises that part of the Parish of Spitalfields, bounded in the North by the Parish of Bethnal Green; on the South, by Whitechapel;
on the East, by the centre of Brick Lane, and on the West, by the centres of Bell Lane, Crispin Street, & Wheeler Street. Population in 1851, 15,336.
3. The Mile End New Town District comprises the whole of the Hamlet of Mile End New Town, the remaining eastern portion of Spitalfields, bounded on the
West by the centre of Brick Lane, and that part of Whitechapel Parish which is bounded on the North and West by Spitalfields; East by the Hamlet
of Mile End Old Town, and South by the centre of Old Montague Street. Population in 1851, 14,543.
4. The Whiteehapel North comprises that portion of the Parish of Whiteehapel, which is bounded on the North partly by the Parish of Spitalfields, partly by
the centre of Old Montague Street, and Hamlet of Mile End New Town, and partly by the Parish of Bethnal Green, and bounded on the South by the centres of
Whiteehapel High Street, and Whiteehapel Road. Population in 1851, 12,530.
5. The Whiteehapel Church District comprises that part of Whiteehapel Parish which is bounded on the North by the centres of Whiteehapel High Street, and
Whiteehapel Road, and on the South, partly by the centres of Great Alie Street, Goodman's Style, and Church Lane, and partly by the Hamlet of Mile End Old
Town. Population in 1851, 7818.
6. The Goodman's Fields District comprises that portion of the Parish of Whitechapel which is bounded on the North by the centres of Great Alie Street,
Goodman's Style, and Church Lane, and on the South, by the centres of Rosemary Lane, and Cable Street, and also includes the Parish of Holy Trinity, Minories.
Population in 1851, 12,069.
7. The Aldgate District comprises the remaining portion of Whiteehapel Parish, bounded on the North by the centres of Rosemary Lane, and Cable Street;
the whole of the Parish of St. Botolph Withont Aldgate, the Precinct of St. Katharines, the Precinct of the Tower, and the Tower of London. Population in
1851, 10,694. '
