SANITARY ADMINISTRATION.
ANNUAL REPORT
of
THE CHIEF SANITARY INSPECTOR
1955
Public Health Department,
Municipal Offices,
New Malden.
June, 1956.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Malden and Coombe,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present my third annual report on the
work carried out by your sanitary inspectors during the year.
The year under review has been uneventful and steady progress
was made in the work of the Department.
Mr. T. P. Jarrett, additional sanitary inspector, obtained an
appointment with the Borough of Beckenham in September, 1955,
and was replaced by Mr. R. M. Borlase from the Camborne
Redruth Urban District in November, 1955.
The general standard of housing in the Borough is good and
property owners generally have co-operated well in carrying out
works of repair. In no case has it been necessary to resort to
Court action to enforce notices under the Public Health or Housing
Acts.
