likely to fall quickly. The table shows the trend of tuberculosis
in this district since 1938.
Sympathetic consideration is given by the Housing Committee
to special recommendations made by me for the housing
of the tuberculous.

Notification of tuberculosis was, on the whole, satisfactory.
There were 3 cases during the year which did not come to
light until after death.
The facilities for X-ray examination offered by arrangement
with the Kingston Victoria Hospital was made use of by
8 cases.
At the end of the year the following number of cases were
shown to be suffering from the disease and living in the district,
an increase of 21 compared with the previous year.
