Parts of several elementary schools were disinfected
during the year. A number of books from the public
library and schools were also disinfected for a variety of
reasons.
Seven loads of bedding were removed for steam disinfection
and two for destruction.
In addition to the above, clothing, mattresses, blankets
and pillows from various posts and shelters were disinfected
or disinfested.

FOOD AND DRUGS ACT, 1938.

During the year 110 samples were submitted to the Public Analyst for analysis. These comprised the following:—
