RAG FLOCK ACT, 1911 AND 1928.
There are no known premises in the district where
Rag Flock is manufactured or sold.
PREMISES AND OCCUPATIONS WHICH CAN BE
CONTROLLED BY BYE LAWS OR REGULATIONS.
There appear to be no premises or occupations in
the District which necessitate Byelaw control or regulations
operated by the District Council with the exception
of eight fish frying businesses (scheduled as offensive
trades), two slaughterhouses and the dairies and cowsheds.
The consents given by the Council to the establishment
of fish frying businesses in four instances are
limited to periods of twelve months and for such extension
thereof as may from time to time be granted, whilst
the other four are not subject to any limitation of time
FACTORY AND WORKSHOPS ACTS.
There is little to report regarding the administration
of these Acts as most of the provisions are enforced by
Inspectors of the Home Office.
Several matters were dealt with, in most cases by
verbal request. During the year H.M. Inspector of
Factories had only on one occasion to refer a matter to
the Council under Section 5.
